Trained in Pennsylvania, Oklahoma, and Florida, I have several years of experience as clinical faculty at the University of Florida, as well as several years of experience as an outpatient psychologist within a large hospital system. I've been blessed with relationships with relevant specialty providers across the Jacksonville community, such as psychiatrists and other specialty psychologists, which helps enhance collaboration
amongst my patients' medical/mental health team. I find it a true honor that youth and their families trust me to partner with them in promoting their psychological wellness. To facilitate individuals toward the ultimate virtues of feeling love and peace - there is no greater career fulfillment. As a Christian Catholic myself and witness of the power of faith in our lives, I incorporate individuals' own faith into treatment only if they assent for me to do so. My primary orientation is cognitive behavioral therapy, though I pepper in skills from dialectical behavior therapy, behavioral therapy, and solutions-focused therapy, all while keeping a nonjudgmental, empathetic stance.
Through our grief journeys, my husband and I are an unexpected blended family, blessed with nine growing children ranging from elementary through college age. I love listening to music, chatting around the bonfire, shopping for gems in local thrift/antique stores, and gardening in our Florida paradise.
